Impressions of South Africa

Travel

I have travelled to many places in my career but only recently to South Africa - the country of Jonathan Butler. I was in the country only for a short visit but the impression would last for a long time.

Pride

It couldn't have hurt that I journeyed to South Africa a few months after the first World Cup to be held on an African soil. The transportation system was quite efficient. Public infrastructure was none like in my country, Nigeria, where corruption shows its face in electricty supply, water supply, transportation and other key public needs.

I am indeed proud of South Africa, which in spite of its own problems with crime and housing, continued to march forward.
